Winning the Estonia 100 documentary competition

Silmviburlane has won the competition of short documentary-collection, which was announced on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Estonia (EV100) by Estonian Film Institute and Estonian Public Broadcasting.

6 short films under the common theme ROOTS will be directed by 6 female directors from different generations - starting from the debut director Nora Särak and closing with the documentary teacher and mentor Kersti Uibo. The other authors include Aljona Suržikova, Heilika Pikkov, Anna Hints and Moonika Siimets. They will tell their personal stories about birth and death, being alone and coming together, the great sadness and joy. Producer of the films is Ülo Pikkov. The collection will have its premiere in 2018.
