Ülo Pikkov's presentation at the animation conference in Venice

On October 22-23 University of Venice and the Ca’ Foscari Short Film Festival organised an international conference Animation between arts and thought, which focused on the intersection between the theory and the execution of animation film. The conference explored the enormous cultural heritage of animation film, investigating its ties with abstract philosophy, other arts and with cinema in general.

Among the presenters were director Barry Purves, animation historian Giannalberto Bendazzi, artist Igor Imhoff etc. Ülo Pikkov gave a presentation On the links between caricatures and animated films and showed his stop-motion films.
